Stand Up! Girls is a New York based non-profit that works with schools in under-served communities to provide after-school comedy training to young women aged 14-18. Working with professional comedians over the course of a multi-week program, the girls not only get an opportunity to learn how to write jokes and perform them, but most importantly they pick up the confidence and communication skills that can help them navigate a male-dominated world as they grow up. We're really excited to partner with such a great organization on Sit Back, Relax, and Stand-Up! For Girls, to offer a sneak peek of the film for an online fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to SUG. The film will be available for rent for $5 from October 25th to the 29th from our page here on gathr.com, and can be purchased now.

Then on October 29th, ticket buyers will be sent a link to tune and participate in a live Zoom Q&A session moderated by celebrated comedian Judy Gold. Panelists will include AJA star Raylene Harewood and director Shannon Kohli, some past participants of the SUG program, and a few female comics TBD.
